West End Co-Op This project is a complete gut renovation of a classic co-op apartment located on the prestigious West End Avenue in Manhattan. The transformation blends timeless architectural charm with contemporary luxury, tailored for both everyday comfort and elevated entertaining. Upon entering the apartment, you are welcomed by a thoughtfully redesigned foyer that sets the tone for the rest of the home. The space retains its original herringbone wood flooring, which has been meticulously restored to highlight its rich texture and natural warmth. A bold, geometric wallpaper with gold accents adds a dramatic flair, playing with light and angles to give the entryway a vibrant, modern energy. The contrast between the historic flooring and the contemporary wall treatment creates a perfect balance of old and new—a signature approach carried throughout the entire renovation. Moving into the heart of this West End home, the open-concept kitchen immediately catches the eye. The kitchen was completely reimagined with custom two-tone cabinetry in shades of rich forest green and soft sage, delivering depth and character. The cabinetry, fabricated specifically for this project, extends seamlessly into the living space, creating visual continuity and maximizing storage. Brass hardware and fixtures add a layer of sophistication and warmth, perfectly complementing the green tones. A standout feature of the kitchen is the unique marble backsplash, which was hand-selected for its intricate veining and distinctive color palette. The kitchen island, finished with a stunning waterfall-edge quartz countertop, transitions beautifully into the living area—enhancing the apartment’s flow and making the space ideal for entertaining on the West End of NYC. In the living room, the original fireplace was preserved as a focal point of the design. We enhanced its surroundings by updating the wallpaper and installing slate tile flooring in the hearth area, adding texture and visual interest without overpowering the traditional charm of the fireplace. The interplay between the modern updates and the original architectural features creates a warm, inviting space that feels both grounded and fresh. The design approach throughout this West End Avenue apartment was driven by a desire to respect the building’s classic bones while infusing it with the personality and function needed for contemporary living.
