Eli, Marykate, and the rest of the team at STAR did a great job on our renovation. We had a large project which involved completely remodeling our kitchen, building new ceilings with soundproofing, and rebuilding our closets. They worked very hard to complete our job on time, and the final result looks amazing, plus the sound proofing really works well. STAR Renovations was very organized and handled a lot of complex tasks for our job, which required modifications to our sprinkler system, plumbing, and electrical wiring. They were very accommodating to our unique requests, and did many extra favors around our apartment such as fixing our thermostat and installing missing trim. We were pleased with the communication between us, and it was great to get regular updates and progress photos. STAR really did great work for us and we love our new home.

We've worked with Eli for the past 7 months in getting our kitchen gut renovated. As with anyone undertaking a home remodel over the last 24 months, we've had to deal with all the delays in city permitting, appliance/material deliveries, etc. Star Renovation manage all facets of the project to make sure every work stream continued to push forward as fast as possible despite all the uncontrollable headwinds we faced. They were highly flexible in adjusting to various change orders and other on-the-fly tweaks to the project as we went on. We are so glad we chose Star Renovations NY for the renovation of our Upper West Side Apartment. From the beginning Eli and his team were there to help us navigate a difficult board approval, procure all permits, insurance and paperwork, and work with building management to get our plan approved and moving.While we originally had only planned to renovate our kitchen, we felt so confident in Star's quality of work that we expanded our renovation to include new doors and moulding, overhead lighting, built in cabinetry, new fixtures and finishes, a refresh of our bathroom and refinishing of our floors. The work was completed ahead of schedule and the BuilderTrend app they use kept us up to date on daily progress and payments. The finished product was every bit as beautiful as we had hoped and we had absolutely no complaints from building management or our neighbors which is critical when living in a Co-Op apartment building. We would strongly recommend Eli and Star Renovations NY to anyone doing construction work in NYC!

Eli and his team were great to work with from the first consult all the way up through the punch list and more. I was especially impressed with Eli and Star's ability to manage the project while I was away for 2+ months during the renovation. The daily picture updates were always the best part of the day. Working with Eli and his team was my first experience with NYC Co-op Construction and it was truly a great experience. Construction is intimidating and then you add the NYC co-op factor on top and it can seem overwhelming. Eli and his team are so responsive, so helpful, so organized and so knowledgeable about construction that the process was painless. I am overwhelmingly pleased with the end result, the kitchen is beautiful. The final product speaks for itself. Eli and his team are problem solvers and they work with you until you are happy with your selections. The system they use and their process is fantastic and I was able to undergo full kitchen renovation while living in another country during the entire design and construction process! There are daily logs and photo updates that feel like presents at the end of the day. I really can't say enough positive things about the experience, especially because they made the whole process so approachable and manageable for a first time NYC renovator.

We hired Eli and his team to do a full gut renovation of our new 3 bedroom 3 bath apartment, where we did not leave a single room untouched. When I first spoke with him, Eli laid out the process end-to-end and emphasized the importance of planning upfront, which I fully appreciated. Throughout the process, Eli and Marykate took care of all the logistics (design, permitting, coordinating with the building, etc.) so that all we had to worry about was selecting the various finishes. In the middle of construction, we unfortunately had to redesign a couple of bathrooms when the team discovered issues when the walls were opened up, but they alerted us quickly and walked us through options so that we could come up with a solution together to keep things on schedule. Also, given supply chain issues due to COVID, some of our original selections were not available, but every time this happened, Eli and Marykate were quick to offer alternatives. Overall because of the careful planning and attention to the logistics, our project finished a full month ahead of schedule. A gut renovation can be stressful at the best of times, but because of the exceptional services provided by Eli, Marykate, and their team, we were able to able to get our dream apartment with minimal stress. I would (and already have) highly recommend Star Renovations to any of my friends who need to do renovations.

When I hired Star, I got the impression that Eli would be willing to go the extra mile to make the job progress seamlessly and they would take the time to do the work right. Not only did they help design and built a top quality kitchen, and bathrooms but they completed the job extremely fast. I hired Star shortly before the NYC shutdown halted construction work for two months and had to go through the entire design process digitally using photos and the guidance of Michelle. Without being able to see samples for cabinets, tiles etc. in person, I deferred to her and Eli's guidance many times during the design process and I'm glad that I did. The design input they provided made a huge impact and Eli had several small suggestions during construction which ultimately made the entire apartment much more livable. They were meticulous about documenting daily activity, maintaining a clean worksite and continually provided photo updates. I'm very happy with the quality of work, design and communication.

I highly recommend Eli and Star Renovations. They just finished renovating my Tribeca apartment and it looks outstanding. I call Eli “The OCD Contractor”, but is an extreme compliment. Eli is very hands on and is on top of every single detail. I have worked with other contractors in the past. but no one comes close to matching Eli’s knowledge, organization and work effort. It is rare that the consumer lags behind the contractor, but it is seriously very hard to keep up with Eli. He is easy to work with and fulfills all his promises, whether it be in the actual work performed or when it comes to deadlines. I highly endorse Eli and his entire crew. I have no problem being contacted as a reference, if so desired.

Eli and the Star team did a wonderful job on my kitchen and bathroom—so many oohs and aahs! Both projects were completed early, and the experience was smooth, as Eli handled all of the paperwork and interacted with my co-op management. The daily photos and constant availability put my mind at ease as I had to relocate during the work. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

From introductory e-mail to certificate-of-completion, Eli and his team covered every base along the way. I had Star Renovations NY completely renovate a studio apartment in the West Village, NYC in a 100 year old co-op building that included a full kitchen and bath gut. Designers ourselves, we have a critical eye. We live on Long Island and barely had to visit the site, trusting it was in very capable hands with Star Renovations. From the beginning, owner, Eli's experience with the intimidating and exhaustive reno application process was invaluable; handling communication with our building's impossible-to-please management company and board, promptly providing answers, info, insights and documents with ease. Our project manager Ryan Jenkins was a vital part of the process. Maintaining the harmony between the building, management, suppliers, subcontractors, and us, the clients. He has an amazing eye for design but more over, was extremely attentive, diligent, accommodating, flexible and very on-top-of-it when we requested changes mid-renovation. He handled everything this project could throw at us with the utmost poise. Eli and his sub-contractors had solutions for every issue and surprise that renovating a 100+ year old building could uncover. We were in constant contact, and received daily updates remotely. Eli provided nothing less than prompt and honest communication, insight, and problem solving through to the end. Again, Eli’s experience, knowledge, and high-standards were so apparent throughout the process. The finished studio looks better than a NYC hotel suite, the transformation is incredible!
